As some of yours may already have read somewhere else, the collaboration between Alephtar Games (the editor of Wind on the Steppes) and Chaosium (the owner of the BRP-engine license) has been terminated. As a consequence, the book is not on sale any more neither at Alephtar games nor at Chaosium. It is a pitty, moreover when you consider that Wind on the Steppes has been released a few months ago only and did not get its chance to reach its full public.
I'm not sure about the future of WotS, but I'll do my best for it to be available again in any form, so keep an eye on it. I however don't know today how and when, or even if I'll manage to.

Edit 23.09.2015 : it looks like WotS will probably get a second life, indeed. Praised be Mayin, the Guide of the Dead's Souls ! But it will take time, so you'll have to be patient.
ne serait il pas envisageable de l'obtenir par un autre biais directement auprès de son auteur ?
ReplyDeleteJe ne pense pas que l'ouvrage soit légalement distribuable sans accord des deux éditeurs. Chaosium, détenteur de la license BRP, pourrait même rééditer l'ouvrage sans Alephtar Games mais n'a pas montré d'intérêt à le faire, tout à sa nouvelle politique de recentrage éditorial je présume. J'en suis le premier désolé.
ReplyDeleteUne nouvelle version est sérieusement envisagée avec Alephtar Games. En tout état de cause, comme WotS ne pourra pas être publié avec le système BRP, il y aura un gros travail à faire pour le porter sur d'autres règles. Alephtar Games a lancé un crowdfunding pour un nouveau système D100 en SRD (Revolution D100, là : http://fr.ulule.com/revolution-d100/), l'idée serait de publier WotS avec ces règles, ce qui le laisserait largement utilisable avec le BRP ou un autre D100. Il faudra donc patienter.
Mais je ne compte pas laisser moisir WotS sur mon disque dur.
